Backyard Burning InformationBackyard burning will end on June 15, 2018. It is scheduled to begin again October 15, weather permitting. The burn line can be reached at (541) 847-6166, and always has updated burn information. For more information, please read the regulations on backyard burning.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter now is the time to apply. Fill out an application and drop it off at Station 1 at 680 Commercial Street in Monroe from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. There is no cost to join, we supply you with all equipment and you will attend fire academy with other local departments on the weekend this Fall. Not sure if it's for you? Come attend a training Wednesday night at Station 1 at 6:30pm.
